PLOT Beaumarchais arrives to a theatre of our days to write a play he likes, such as that ’old’ one. While he is deep in thought, a rapper arrives on the stage, who is welcomed enthusiastically by Suzanne. Then the night watch enters, complaining about the noise. All he wants is to tidy up and clean the rooms quietly and undisturbed. By doing so he is already opposed to Beaumarchais’s world, the properties of which appear from a large box. With a trick Marcelline transforms the night watch - making him play the role of Bartholo. Beaumarchais meditates on himself and on the theatre curse, which has made him lose his identity. The count follows and courts Suzanne but Beaumarchais and the rapper expose him. The count takes off his costume and –already as the director of the theatre –he threatens to expel Beaumarchais and his company from the theatre. However, Beaumarchais wants to continue his work and finally he manages to mislead the theatre director. In the next scene Beaumarchais insults the director and his theatre. With the help of the rapper he neutralizes the count again and Beaumarchais disguises himself as a theatre director. Florestine, the daughter of the director mistakes him for her father, who she is looking for. Beaumarchais invites her to an audition, then he and the watch shame the director. Beaumarchais announces that from then on everybody can try their luck on the stage and call them to perform one by one. The audition turns into chaos. Beaumarchais and the count begin to debate again, which makes everyone laugh and the play ends in a comedy.
