"The Dornbusch-Quartett, on a Da Camera Magna recording made in April 1974. offer one of the most nakedly emotional and raw performances of Janaček's Second String Quartet ("Intimate Letters") that I have ever heard. Side 2 of this LP contains equally direct playing resulting in equally uneasy listening: Stravinsky's "Three pieces", a selection of five pieces from Bartók's "Mikrokosmos" (arranged for quartet by Tibor Serly) and Webern's "Six bagatelles Op 9"."
