L'oeuvre, Meslanges de sujets chrestiens d'Etienne Moulinié, n’avait pas été joué depuis le 17ième siècle. Après sa restauration assurée par le Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles, cette programmation est une création mondiale. En effet, cette oeuvre représente un volume emblématique, cité souvent comme l’une des pièces majeures, de la musique sacrée baroque du milieu du XVIIème siècle. Dans le prolongement de ses créations, Étienne Moulinié a composé une musique religieuse vocale polyphonique d'une exceptionnelle richesse.
