Jose Carreras - "Belle Epoque" 2007

The "Belle Epoque" (ca. 1870-1915) was characterized by its love of life and a feeling that the arts were entering upon an exciting new period in their development. Pointing, architecture and music all struck out in new directions. The present CD features Jose Carreras performing some of the most delightful songs from the Belle Epoque. All of them conquered the streets and theaters and cafes of  the period, and all are heard here in new arrangements.
